Is the search function on vacation?
At the top of this page you will see a sticky that says you should use the search button to get info. To get to the point i tried to use the search function for about the fourth time in the last two weeks and again it was disabled. So i came here to see if i could get an answer from the sticky thread about using search. After reading the entire page i tried using every seach button i could find including the link in the thread text and every time i was told that the search function was disabled. Does anyone know what is going on? http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/i...s/confused.gif

These boards are too active during the day (U.S. EDT.) for the search to be enabled, the only time the Search or New Posts link works for me is super late at night or super early in the morning. As popular as this site is, you'd think they would do something about that. What cracks me up is when people ask for help, the forum trolls tell that person to use the search feature....not knowing that the search feature only works about 6 hours out of the day & at inconveniant times at that.

The search function works whenever I've used it, it is only disabled during the very active times when it would impede the forum

Unfortunately, google's archive isn't updated hourly or daily, it's whenever the googlebot gets back here which could be every 3 days or even once a week.

The search is broken, even Inde states he is working on getting it operational full time. The google search is great for old topics, but trying to find a specific thread within the past month is a nightmare.

I must add though that it is nice that the trolls here who used to go "use search nub admins close thread now plz" on new threads without actually reading the post have gone away. Um... yeah, I'm all out of positive thoughts, sorry.
